Accused masqueraded as Lord Innes Kerr at 'ft'isco. POLICE AND THE SABBATH. Dunedin, Tuesday. At to-day's meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery, the. Rev. A. Whyte, on be■half of the Committee on Sabbath Observance, reported with regard to the question of Sunday employment of I policemen that the Inspector of Police had stated that the present leave, which I allowed policemen one Sunday in four [off duty, was the maximum which the } strength of tha force would permit. The Presbytery decided to memorialhe the Minister for Justice requesting that fuller facilities be given *io policemen for enjoying the freedom of the Sabbath Day.
