The men entered, and when they heard the constable approaching they escaped through the office window. After a sharp chase Hood captured one, Edward Harland, a pastrycook, who was charged with entering the premises with intent to commit a crime I and remanded till Wednesday. NEWSPAPER LIBEL ACTION. The Chief Justice to-day refused to issue a summons applied for by defendants in the libel action New Zealand Times v. the Wellington Publishing Company, in respect of matter published in The Dominion newspaper. It is proposed to secure a shed at New Brighton., with sailing and rowing boats and one instructor. The cost wiil amount to several hundred pounds.
