In the Assembly, Mr. Creswsll, Labor member, moved an amendment, declining to condone the deportation of citizens without trial, and asking for a ♦searching investigation by a commission whereof the Chief Justice should be president. His discursive attack on the Government, which is unfinished, occupied the sitting. Mr. Cresswell accused the Government of leaguing with the mine-own-ers to irritate the workers into a general strike. The Minister tabled a return dealing with :18 secret outrages committed and attempted during the crisis in January, including three explosions on the railway, 12 instances of dynamite on the railway lines, and four dynamite explosions.
