BODY IDENTIFIED.
APPAKKXTLY A CASE OF SUICIDE. Ily Telegraph—Press Association. Diineiin, Lai>t Night. The body of the man found at Tahuna Park yesterday lias been identified us that of Frank Ashton, a miner, from Xokomai. The medical evidence at the inquest showed that a small wound had been found over the left wrist, as it' all attempt had been made to out an artery. At the elbow joint of the same arm there was a very large wound, which had cut through all th.' tissues down to the bone. Tba heart was empty, indicating that death was dii-i to loss of'blooil. Charles ISradtield, manufacturer'agent, identified the body, anil said be believed deceased's full name was Frank Ashton Devilie, though be never went under that name. On 'Wednesday week deceased seemed to be hard up, and borrowed from witness, but seemed in pood spirits. lie was then Roing to the races at Forburv Park. Deceased was a native of South Africa. Constable Mcliae stated that only fourpence was found on the deceased. v verdict of suicidi was returned.
