The summer meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club held at Riccartoi raoeceurse, yesterday, in fine weather. The recent rains had improved v the course considerably, and the going <vas good, though not exceptionally fast. Hi» Excellency the Governor (tlio Earl if Lirerpool) and suite were nresent. Totalisator investments -were f1G,955, compared with £14,753 last year. There was some bumping in the Midsummer Handicap, and E. Lowe, the rider of Specialform, was fined fa by the Judicial Committee. Results:—
