I The time of dosing the entries for the big autumn fixture is now drawing near and consequently a large number are being received each day. The dog section | is always a feature at (be \t w Plymouth I show, where possibly the best collection of dogs in the Dominion is to he seen and this year's exhibition will lie no exception. The horse section will also be very strong, especially among tlie draughts, where it is expected the competition will be very keen. The llolsteiu ami Jersey classes in the cattle section will probably be the strongest, and amongst the. entries will be found (be best strains i'l I New Zealand. In addition to the spleiiI did prizes atloted tor tat cattle there | will be specials amounting to I'X which , have bein generously donated by wellI wishers of the Society. These classes should till well and will probably constitute a record for Ibis district. The comi petitions, for each day. which are the big draw, are numerous and the prize monev is good. The public should have plentv to interest them, Kntries finally close' for all classes on Saturday next, 1-lth inst.
