ACTION BY LAW SOCIETY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchuroh, Last Might. Upon the application of Mr. W. .1. Hunter, on behalf of the Canterbury Law Society, Judge Dcnuiston made an order direotiiig Walter Shaw to appear before tin: Court at Christehurch on the lirst day on which t'lie court sliall sit in banco, after the expiration of fourteen days after the service upon him of such order, to show cause why he should not be struck oil' the roll of barristers and solicitors of the court, upon the ground that Shaw, at the sitting of the court held at Tiniaru last, was charged with having committed certain indictable offences as follows:—Between July 1 <lO7 and December 1912, theft of £2040, stealing a valuable security valued at £3OO. stealing a valuable security, value £250; stealing a valuable security, value KiOll: criminal breach of trust of £202:! -s (id; criminal breach of trust, .1:250: criminal breach of trust, £050; false pretences. £47"); and that the said Walter Shaw thereupon! pleaded "uiltv to all the said charges, and was sentenced to three years' imprisonment with hard labor upon such, charges.
