Wellington, Saturday. : At the third wool sale held this season there was an offering of 21,000 bales. Competition was very keen for all lots offered, Continental buyers being especially keen in their demand for the rough and heavy-condition crossbred-., whilst Bradford kept the former, buyers right up to the mark. I'i'ices"* for a'i coarse wools and the rougher lots of medium wool ruled at '/ s d to s /4d per lb advance on last sale's rates, whilst the bright fine wools did not show any material advance. Lambs' wool was in very strong demand, and for lost lots prices ruled up to 11 %d per lb, Pieces and bellies were heavier in condition and therefore did not participate in the appreciation of values.
