The National Sporting Club offered a purse of £3OOO for a mutch between Johnson and Langford for the world's championship. THo purse js divisable in the ratio of 00 to 40 or 70 to 30. The club will not allow any set amount, win, lose or draw, but will give a third of the monev received for cinema films. Tin! offer is'open till March 1. Langford has paid the first deposit.
