Won by 50 yards. • Time, 12 min 3 C2-ssec. The 400 yds race was won by Wallace in Omin 40 i-ssec. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB RACES. The New Plymouth Swimming Club's racing programme advanced a further stage last night, when two events, a championshiprand a handicap, were decided in the municipal baths. The results were as follows: — 440 Yards Championship--C. Brown 1, A. V. Stohr 2. Also started: Bacon, Crimmer, Newcll and Jackson. Only the placed men finished. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 7min 22sec. 440 Yards Handicap—C. Brown "(scr) I, A. V. Stohr (scr.) 2 . Also started: ,Bacon (25sec), Newell (65sec) Grimmer (OOsecs), and Jackson' (DOsec). Won easily by about one and a linlE lengths.
