MULLAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 6, 0.5 p.m. Sydney, February 0. Mullan has been committed for trial. The coroner's verdict was wilful murder. (According to a cablegram received on January 28, a tragedy occurred at Waverley. A son of accused, on entering his parents' bedroom, found his mother on | the bed with her head frightfully battered, and her nose and ear cut off, but still alive. She subsequently died in the hospital. Mullan was seen to jump, fully clothed, from the rocks, and after a desperate struggle was rescued.
