FATE OF THE CAMBEWARRA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 5, 8.15 p.m. Fremantle, February 5. The steamer Cambewarra, 450 tons, bound from Rotterdam to Sydney, struck a reef 114 miles from Fremantle and sank. The mate and five men left to bring assistance and have not been heard of since. The rest of the crew landed safely. The vessel was purchased by the New South Wales Government, and fitted with up-to-date appliances for the carrying of metal. She was valued at £20,000. The Grace Darling, a trading schooner, was wrecked on a reef 70 miles north of Fremantle. The crew of five were rescued by a fishing boat.
