RAILWAY SMASH.

TWO GOODS TRAINS COLLIDE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 5, 8.15 p.m. Newcastle, February 5. A railway smash occurred on the northern line between Adamstown and Cardiff, The air brakes, failing to act, two goods trains collided. The drivers and firemen jumped and escaped, but a guard was injured and taken to the hospital. Thirty trucks were piled one on top of the other. It is regarded as the biggest smash which has ever occurred on the northern line. The damages to rolling stock run into several thousands of pounds.
