FUTURE AND POSSIBILITIES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, February l. Mr. Denham, Premier of Queensland, received twenty London journalists anl described Queensland's position and prospects. He referred to the great possibilities of the export trade with America, especially of fruit, when the Panama Canal was opened. He emphasised -the fact that Brisbane was the nearest Australian port to Panama. He explained that Queensland was borrowing in order to build ni'w.vs and other reproductive work:-. The proceeds of the loans were largely spent in England to purchase material.
