BOXING.

IRELAND v. .MURPHY. Final arrangements have now been completed for the boxing match between Barney Ireland and Denny ilurphy to be held in the Theatre Royal, New Plymouth oil February U. It has been decided also to match Chapman (Tongaporutu), against Sullivan (Gisboniel, and S. Wood (Carl'ington Road) against E. H. Ilastley (Wellington), previous to the big light. Other preliminary events will probably include another boxing match and a wrestling bout, in which K. Hine, the well-known Taranaki champion will figure. The secretary of the New Plymouth Boxing Association has just received the necessary official permit from the Commissioner of Police (Wanganui) sanctioning the professional light. Murphy will leave Wellington 011 Tuesday. tiie HHIi. and Ireland is expected to be here immediately.
