HEAVY RAINFALL MAN DIIOWXEI). •By Telegraph—Prcsß Association. Timaru, Last Night. Extraordinary local rainfalls are reported in the \Yaihao and Ueraldine districts yesterday as well as at Fairlic Harrow. A thunderstorm crossed the country from Waitaki to MnunL Four Peaks, ;pouring down water. At Four l'ealis chimneys were cracked l>y lightning and a number damaged bv ,storm water. A young man, named not ascertained, loitering about the wharf near the 5.3. Flora to-day. fell into the sea, and, striking his bead on a fender, was rescued unconscious and taken fo tl.e luis; pital.
