Captain Dean and five of the crew of the schooner Anna Ranks, which was abandoned 500 miles south-east of Cape Race, have arrived aboard the steamer Indrania. During tremendous seas the chief officer, White, and five of the Indrania's men launched a boat, but were unable to reach the schooner owing to the waves. LINERS IN A FOG. New York, January 28. A fog, Listing three days, compelled seven trans-Atlantic steamers to berth off Sandy Hook, as they were unable to make the port. The incident is unprecedented. There were whole hosts of smaller craft in a similar plight. Several ferry collisions occurred, tile passengers being frightened but unhurt.
