coxDUTOirs RF.roirr. The i-omliielor. (Mr. d. ■!• <'nmmii>s) reported as follows:- "Iu submitting my first annual report, which, under exist - in" circumstances, must necessarily lie brief. 1 would like to say tjmt it gives me \erv groat pleasure to state that m spite of iiiiiny obstacles and adversities the bund, as constituted at present, is, from a mimical point of view, in a very flourishing condition-doubtless the result of the extra praeliee and renewed interest, in view of the forthcoming contest at Auckland. l>nrinj! tbc. year w have had manv players through ih< band; some 'good, others otherwise However, all things considered, New Plymontb has no cause to feel ashamed of it* band. The learners' class, which was started last year, has proved a success, and although a number joined and left through 'one cause or another, 1 still have a fair percentage, of tryers with a. future before, them. During the last vear, out of 104 practices held, l.ic attendance has bed, excellent, and .1 point worthy of uoti s that some of the old members hold the best. moid. I would suggest- lo the incoming committee the necessity of subscribing to R. Smith's and Cornel Ifcin.l -lounu.ls foi the ensuing vear. I wouh.l like to take this opportnnilv of thanking the C ju- ,„„• ,„d Hand committees for the k in ; ln ,s, and courte,y emended to me. and p..i-ti.-iil.u-lv Mews 11. kills and K Coleman, .in,in- a cry strenuous year.
