A laborer named John Illingworth, 44 years of age, was drowned in the Wairau liiiver at Spring Creek yesterday. lie attempted to swini across the river and sank half-way. At the inquest on the body of the hulk-keeper, James Waterstrect, who was drowned in the harbor on January 0, a verdict was returned that deceased was accidentally drowned, no blame being attachable to anyone. ' FOUND DROWN It 0. Blenheim, hast Night. A midrfle-st£cil unmarried man, named James Ford, by occupation a tailor, was found drowned in the Omalca Oliver this afternoon.
