MAT IK EE TO-DAY.. The beautiful Kalem film depicting the life of Christ, entitled "From Manger to Cross," was presented for the second time to a crowded hoine at the Theatre P.oyal Inst evening. The picture has made a profound impression on all who have viewed it during the past two nights, and has drawn forth many favorable comments from the local clergy. In a letter to the manager, the Re*.Peat says:—"Allow me to express mjr high appreciation of the exeellesws of the picture, "From the Manger to the Cross." The events ia the life of Christ are portrayed in a very reverent retailor. The picture is well calculated tfl" do good, being a spiritual iifterpretation of the greatest of all Eves. Mr Carbines' rendition of the snefed musia was a worthy accompaniment of K worthy picture. You are to ho complimented on bringing such ■ picture to New Plymouth, and 1 hope that all of my people will embrace the opportunity of seeing it." » The only matinee screening of the film* will be given this afternoon, and the picture will aghft be showii for absolutely the last occasion this evening.
