! An event of primary importance to agricultural and pastoral interests iu the I Dominion is the big show which is io ', take place in New I'lymonth on February 25 and 20 next. The large amount, of prize money and trophies is no doubt | largely responsible for the keen interest being displayed. That Ihe TaranaV: A. and P. Association's committee backup their honors with something more ' than prize tickets and certificates will •be seen by a glance at llin schedule. Numerous eni|iiirics for schedules have been received from dog fanciers all over i the Dominion, and as a consequence tin; committee is anticipating full benches in these, classes. Keen competition is expected in the horse classes, and from present indications there will he record gentries. There are many other itemi which attract attention, but through all ,tlie programme the word "progress" 'stands out prominently, and to those of our readers who have not yet seen one of these semi-national functions, it is t'eI commended that they see the one next i month and they will not regret it.
