' A memorial service arranged by the Ex-conlingenlers' Association was held yesterday in honor of the 28 South Canterbury soldiers who died in the Sonlii African war. A large crowd assembled at the troopers' memorial, where the service was held. Tho-e taking part weie ex-conlingenlers, territorials and senior cadets, ;.nd the Regimental and Marine Rands. An address was given by Chap-lain-Captain (Archdeacon) Jacob. Tire troopers' memorial was decked with foliage, and a number of wreaths were brought by relations of the. deceased.
