Reports from Hamburg states that the bodies of the third officer and a sailor, belonging to the Hamburg liner Alicia,- which went ashore at Upgwcn and became a total loss, have been picked up in (lie Straits of Magellan. A quantity of wreckage was also found. Natives report that it big steamer sank in the vicinity.
! HIMITANGI REPAIRED. SMART WORK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Very little delay was occasioned in fitting the new propeller and shaft to the steamer Himitangi, which struck on a submerged rock oil' Tuapeko, Chatham Islands, on January 4, for, according to a wireless message received to-day, the .vessel is now taking cargo for Lyttelton and Wellington. She leaves fur LytteHon on Wednesday moraine;. The Arapawa, which took the propeller tnd shaft to the disabled steamer, made a very smart trip to and from the Chatliams, arriving back at Wellington early this morning. The Himitangi, although helpless, was found to be anchored in a jisafe position.
