RAILWAY RETURNS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The railway revenue for the four weeks ended December C totalled £264,: •"177, and the expenditure £228.251. Tho North Island produced £157,730 of tli* revenue, and the South Island £100,821. The North Island share of expenditure was £i;il,u,w, and the South Island'* £90,201!. CHARCE OF PERJURY. Masterton, Last Night. Arthur William Petherick was to-day committed for trial on a charge of perjury arising from evidence given in a licensing ease in which he was defendant. Bail was allowed.
