Caillaux, in a memorandum, proposes a super-tux ou yearly incomes de rived from invested capital yielding over £I2OO, a deduction of £2OO beinr allowed for every dependent child. He also pro poses that incomes up to £4OOO shall pay iy 2 per cent.; £BOOO, 2.03 per cent.; £20,000, 3 :i-10 per cent.; £40,000, 4 3-5 per cent.; £'300,000, 5.53 per cent. It is estimated the tax will yield £i,000,000.
31. ltriand'a party has adopted the following policy: Firstly, national defence; secondly, to uphold the secular laws; thirdly, to improve the Parliamentary system by eliminating the bidding of
groups. The manifesto appeals to the various groups to unite.
