The chief points dwelt on were ihe development of the country by closer settlement, immigration, nw railways, 1 irrigation, and decentralisation. He intended to spend £500,000 on school buildings and £(100,000 yearly on new railway?. A new electoral scheme would be introduced. No taxation winl.l be proposed.

Three of the Alinisters have been returned unopposed. The Premier and the Attorney-General each have a Labor opponent, whilst an independent-Liberal candidate opposes the Minister for Agriculture
