ITS FINANCES SHORT. Per Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. A large deputation of members of the Victoria College Council and. Professorial Board waited mi tlie Minister of Education to-day and stressed the parlous financial condition of the college. The chairman of the College Council said that if the Government did not do something this year it would mean that the college would have to shut its doors. W. Allen replied that the Government was enquiring into the position and condition of the four University Colleges to see. what could be done in the way of assistance.
