COAL COMPANY.
BETTER PROSPECTS AHEAD. Per Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. At the annual meeting of the Paparoa Coal Company to-day, it was stated the directors had been informed by the mine manager, there was no doubt it) his mind that the company had some really good coal, which could be opened out at no great additional expenditure. The company required an output of 1500 tons per week to pay its way, and at the present time it was putting out 1100 tons. The directors had had a very trying time, but the prospects were now encouraging. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Messrs. J. R. Blair and H. F. Nees were re-elected directors.'
