THE WATERSIDE WORKERS; Per Press Association. [ . Dunedin, Last Night. The Dunedin Waterside Workers' sUnion held a secret ballot on Thursday, on questions submitted to it by the Federation of Labour. The questions practically asked the local union whether it was prepared to take any'action against the recognition of the'Turiaru Waterside Workers' Union, which had been registered under the Arbitration Act The ballot papers were counted this aftjorpoon, and though it was decided not to make public the result of the voting, it is understood that a considerable, majority of the workers .voted against any action being taken. ine&ntime. .fh'ejnen are apparently looking forward' to thg l holding of the big Unity Labor ; Conference' in Wellington in 'July ah likely to give ;them a pointer a* to what nation they, shall, ultimately Jake.
