INGLEWOOD NEWS.
BOROUGH (JOUNCIL. (From our own correspondent.) A special meeting of the Council washeld on Wednesday night to hear the report of the llall Committee oil the question of the contract recently let for supplying the seats for this new hall. This is a matter which has been the subject oi not a little discussion lately by the man in the street. As previously reported, a contract had been let to Mr. de Launay for the supply of tip-up seats and forms for the liali. Subsequently the question was raised as to the legality of the Council's action in not advertising for public tenders, instead of merely asking the local furniture men to tender. The Council lmve been ndvised that their action was quite legal, and at last night's meeting it was decided to proceed with the original contract.
