He thanked .Britishers through the press for their hospitality, and outlined the advantages Australia offers to emigrants. Th'ey wanted men and women for the land. They had a sufficiency of citydwellers. He believed that Imperial trade could develop without violating the fiscal views of anyone. He hoped that the English papers would devote greater attention to Australian affairs.
