THE WINTER SHOW.
SATURDAY. ' Saturday evening's crowd at the Winter Show was a merry one, and the'passages were as crowded as they were on Thursday evening. It was particularly noticeable during the day, how many country people-passed through the door, and our cousins from "way back" appeared to be taking an intelligent interest in all that the building could show them.
The Show will be open to-day at 12 o'clock, and the prices of admission are now: Men Is, women 6d, and children
DISPLAY OF HONEY. ~ Mr. Q. J. Herrick, of the Te Arei apiary, Seiftry', Hill, being judge of the honey .seciioji' this. year," has made.' ;a, priyate, display of honey on a. well-! arranged stand at the end' of the cheese ' class.. Mr -Herrick shows both liquid and granulated honey. A fine sample of white clover honey is shown, whilst granulated honey is shown in three or' four different grades. A display of beeswax and patent honey pots makes up a very fine exhibit. A working hive of bees surmounts the exhibit and attracts a deal of attention from the public. As showing the quality of Te Arei apiary products, Mr. Herrick has sold his output at 10s per doz. lib jars, and 18s per doz. 21b jars.
