ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. Per Prcßß Association. Gißborne, Saturday. W. Quick was pig-shooting at Matawi with a companion, when the latter accidentally discharged his gun at close range. Quick's leg was badly shattered above the ankle. He was brought into the, hospital.
SUDDEN DEATH. Invereargill, Last Night. The death occurred suddenly on Saturday afternoon, of Mrs. Ronald, wife of William Ronald, a retired farmer, and well-known in public life in Southland. Mrs. Ronald was proceeding to her home when she had a heart seizure, and she was taken to her daughter's residence, but .died a few hours later,, Mrs. Ronald was a daughter of the late Jas. Wilson, who was Speaker of the Southland Provincial Council in the early days.
