THE MARCONI DEAL.
THE COMMITTEE REPORTING. MIXED PICKLES. Ry Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, June 12. The interim report of the Marconi Committee of Enquiry has been laid on the table in the House of Commons, and copies will be distributed to-mor-row, with the draft reports of Sir Albert Spicer, Lord Robert Cecil and Messrs Falconer and Booth, It is understood that Sir Albert Spicer's report described the conduct of Ministers as indiscreet, but not corrupt, but the influence of the FalconerBooth section caused an amended report to be carried by eight votes to six. This exculpates Ministers, and says the charges of undue influence are baseless, and that the contract was made with a sole regard to the public interest. " Lord Robert Cecil's report, on behalf of the minority, is very censorious. The report will be debated on Wednesday.
