FAILURES THREATENED. By Cable—Press Association— Copyright, Loudon, June 11. The "hammering" of Messrs Engelhert and Seliloesser is an important failure. It will lie necessary to take steps to avoid forced realisations. Other failures are feared. Continental realisations continue. The severe slump in the Yankee market has added to the nervousness. Danger is threatened owing to the large amount of short-term notes in existence.
