FOOTBALL.
NORTH TARANAKI V. SOUTH TARANAKI. Much interest is centred in the meeting between the chosen of the Northern and Southern Division, which takes place at the Recreation Ground to-morrow. A good game should eventuate, as the teams appear to be evenly matched, ; what little advantage on paper South Taranaki has in the forwards being coun-ter-balanced by the apparent superiority !_of the Northerners' rear division. Ali the players will be seen on their best behaviour, for not only is there "the incentive of the healthy rivalry for su- [ premacy between the two divisions, but each man will know that the eves of the selectors are upon him, and that the teams to do battle for Taranaki against Wellington and Wanganui at Hawera during Show Week A'ill be selected as the result of the form displayed. ~
