TRAMWAY MEN'S CONDITIO**.

Auckland, June 7. One shift of the tramway empley<*B, by a vote of 03 t« 29, approved n we Tramway Company's proposals for • new agreement providing increased pay, and an improvement of working conditions, but the meeting of the second shift taded in a stormy scene, there being considerable difference of opinion in regard to the proposals submitted. The president of the union was unable to control (he meeting, and declared it closed, stating that under the circumstances the vote of the morning meeting adopting the company's proposals would be accepted by the union.
