THE GREAVES CASE.

New York, June 8. Greaves reiterates his assertion teat he was employed by the British Secret Service Department, and states that the dossier was stolen from c, man named Schmidt on board the Kainer Wilhclm H. He further states that spies occupied the cabins on either side of Schmidt's cabin.

London, June i). the Daily Chronicle, investigating Cvoaves's story, states that it has ignominiousiy collapsed. The navy list does not mention the officers whom Gieaves states that lie met. The alleged officers of the Uritish Secret 8;-rvice & in l'lect Street do not exist. The telephone number mentioned is that of a wellknown dressmaker.
