RE FARMERS' GIFT TO BATTLESHIP.
To the Editor
Sir, —I was very disappointed upon reading the result of the Eni.Ttaimnent Committee's suggestion, and think we farmers have been shown in an unfair light. Had Air. Morton, as chairman of 1 our National Dairy Association, circularised the chairmen of all the companies in Taranaki to see if tlieir suppliers would each donate lib of butter, or equivalent in cheese as a present to our battleship's company, very much more than was suggested would have been forwarded. It is not too late, if our chairman will take the matter up. I feel sure not a fanner but would be pleased to help the pioneer co-operative dairy factory province, and give so suitable a present to the "Handy Men" we all so much admire. Kindly use your best endeavours to help, and I feel sure much may yet be done. Every little helps co-operation.—l am, etc., CO-OP. FARMER.
