THE MOUNT LYELL MINE. Hobart, June 7.

The general manager of the Mount Lyell Company reports that the 1100 feet level is practically free from water, and the works are in good condition.

WHEAT HANDLING. Melbourne, June 7.

The interim report of the commission inquiring into the question of wheat handling, recommends bulk handling on the Canadian system, whereby it is estimated that one penny per bushel will be saved.
