Wellington. ,Last Night. At the Railway Appeal Board, sitting yesterday, Ernest Austin'Tonkie's appeal was further heard. The.Jsoar,d reserved its decision. S. Wright ; (stationmaster at Carterton), and J. M. Wilson (clerk at Masterton) appealed against being superseded by J. Mason and J. H. Hunt. Decision was reserved. E. Cloke. (storeman at Wellington) appealedagainst his reduction to a porter for allowing an improperly loaded waggon to be attached to a train. The waggon was loaded with iron, and was derailed near Ngaio. A Departmental inquiry resulted in improper loading being found, Cloke being held responsible and being reduced. An appeal was allowed. n "' r r
