BUSINESS NOTICE.
THE NEW PHARMACY. Evidence of the steady progress of New Plymouth is to be seen in the handaome new pharmacy which has just been opened in l)evon street by Mr. E. B. Davies. It is, incidentally, also a tribyte to the high standard of quality which local industry has attained, for the fittings and furniture, which compare favorably with any metropolitanpharmacy, were the product of skilled workmen in the employ of the Red Post Furnishing Company. Mr. Davies is a stranger to New Plymouth, but he comes here with a record of seventeen years' service, and besides being a qualified chemist by examination, he holds the diplomas of the Institute of Opticians, London, and the Worshipful Guild of Spectacle Makers, London, obtained by practical examination in London. Such excellent credentials should ensure for him a place in the front rank of his profession. A glance at the "Davies' Pharmacy" should convince clients of the quality and purity of the chemicals and drug 6in stock. "Fresh from the big warehouses, the imposing array of bottles, patent medicines, and the thousand-and-onc articles that every up-to-date establishment must have, commend themselves as being the essence of purity, and the best that modern science, can manufacture. In his workship, Mr, Davies has all the delicate instruments anfl machinery used for the grinding df lenses, etc., and he intends to make spectacle- . making an important branch of his business.
