AT. THE REVOLVER'S POINT,
Per Press Association. . Last' Night, John Ellis Smith, a middle-aged manj. was committed' for .trial to-day on B charge of attempting 'to ■discharge a weapon loaded with destructive .material at Francis Henry Bloxspme. Evidence for the prosecution alleged that .Smith: ' went to Bloxsome's house on May 24 r and asked for fine ppund, which hft maintained was owing to him. Bloxsome refusing, the.accused drew a revolver which he pointed at the prosecutor, ; saying "If this won't.do, this (producing a sheath knife) will." BloxSome closed with Smith, whom he held till the-ar-rival of the police. The revolver was found to be loaded' in four chambers. The accused reserved his defence, bail being refused.
