CYCLING.

ROVER ROAD RACE. Eight faced the starter for the road race to Waitara and back yesterday afternoon. The weather kept fine, but cyclists had a strong head wind to contend with on the return journey. The winner turned up in S. Beauchamp (2% min) with A May (2 min) second, and Gunson (1 min.), third. The winner won by 30 seconds, only a wheel separating second and third.
