DUE TO RELIGIOUS MANIA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 1, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, June 1. A remarkable tragedy occurred at North .Sydney. A young man, Drysdale by .name, shot a friend, Miss Day, dead, and then seriously injured himself. Drysdale, who, it is believed, is suffering from religious mania, made a rambling statement at the hospital. He stated that he had looked up to Heaven, and something told him that he must take his life. He went inside, and did the shooting. He added that the Bible referred to a new life hereafter. He wanted to go there with Miss Day.
