NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. This nfternoon the members of the New Plymouth Golf Club will play a teams match, the President's team against the Captain's. The following are the teams, the President's team being mentioned first: — A. Bewley plays F. S. Johns. P. D. McCord plays W. C. Weston. W. Bewley plays. H. H. Ward. R. H. Baily plays J. Paton. I). Hutchen plays S. Smith. K. B. Bain plays S. Burgess. A. Coxhead plays H. R. Bloxam. J. .plays H. W. Stow. H. Dempsey plays G. S. Millar. H. Seldon plays C. Denny-Brown. On Tuesday twenty-one members of the New Plymouth Club will journey to Hawera, leaving by the morning mail train, .to play the Hawera Club. The match is now established as an annual fixture, and is keenly looked forward to by the players of both clubs. In the morning a four ball match will be played, and in the afternoon twosomes will be played. On Tuesday the ladies of the Inglewood Club are sending ,a team to piay the New Plymouth Club on the Ngamotu links. The following are. the teams, Inglewood players being mentioned first:— Mrs. Matthe\Ys plays Mrs. Johns. Miss Esse plays Miss Rundle. Mrs. Gault plays Mrs. Arnold Jones, Miss Johnston plays Miss Blundell. Miss Brown plays Miss McKcllar. Mrsi, P. Brown plays Mrs. Whetter. Mrs. Surrey plays Miss Hall. Mrs. O'Carroll plays Mrs. Penn. Mrs. Gibbs plays' Mrs. Hutton. The local team is requested to be on the links at 10.30 a.m. HOME LINKS COMPETITION. The Home Links Competition for the Coronation Medal which is played annually on the last Tuesday in May throughout the Dominion, by players with a handicap of 24 and under, was played yesterday in fine weather. The medal is won by the player who returns the best par score of the links. There were only six competitors in New Plymouth, and the weather bein<r windy, the scores were only fair. The result of the competition will be known next week after the various returns have .been submitted to the centre at Palmerston North. The following were the results. gross hep. Tl. Miss G.
