GIRL AND CHAUFFEUR SHOT. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Received 30, 9.35 p.m. Brisbane, May 80. A young woman named Pearl Leichroft was shot in the mouth and seriously injured while entering a motor-car outside an oyster saloon. ■ The chauffeur, Patrick Burke, was shot,in the shoulder. The assailant is believed to be a Japanese.
