Hansen, the American actor who created a scene at the Garrick Theatre, was charged at Bow Street with having used threatening language to Arthur Bourchier. > Mr. Bodkin, K.C., for the prosecution, Said that Hansen's .violent threats and abominable language cause Bourchier to fear bodily harm. •The police gave evidence of his extraordinary behaviour when arrested. It took four men to search him when Hansen was handcuffed. He said Bourchier ■was swindling him Out of £IO,OOO.

Hansen, who tfas still excited, explained that his condition was due to a pending civil action. His condition led the magistrate to remand him 'in custody.
