RIFLE SHOOTING.
NEW PLYMOUTH DEFEAT PATE A. A scooting match was fired at Patea yesterday between teams of eight men aside represeating the New Plymouth and Patea Rifle Clubs. The day was not an ideal one for shooting, a very cold wind blowing. The match which consisted 1 of seven shots at each of the 300 and 500 yds ranges resulted in a win for the New Plymouth team by 10 points. The visitors were hospitably entertained by the local men.
