I The installation of the Masonic Grand Master and the investiture of officers for the ye,ir was attended by the largest • gathering of Freemasons ever held in the Dominion. W.M. Bro. Thompson was enthroned liy Past-Grand Master Griffiths. He then announced his appointments as fo'lows,— Deputy Grand Master, R,W. James Moncrieff (Carterton); Provincial Grand Masters, R.W. Bros. Allen (Auckland), Petterkin (Wellington), Stoneham (Otago), Timpany (Southland), Harkncss (West Coast), Harston (Hawko's Bay), Redman (Nelson find .Marlborough), and Sergeant (Taranaki); Senior Grand Warden, W. Bro. Walter Bradley (Kaiapoi); Junior Grand Warden, W. Bro. Gilbert P.. Bull (Gisborncl. W.M. Bro. Binns is Provincial G-and Master of Canterbury by election < f the Provincial Grand Lodge. MOUN'j EGMONT INSTALLATION. The insi illation of Bro. W. M. Perry as W.M. / f Lodge Mt. Egmont No. 070. E.C., took place last night in the Good Templar Hall, and was attended by a large gathering of 'Masons, not only from Ta uiaki, but from other parts of the Don inion, Wor. Bro. H. Potter journeyed from Auckland especially to mirtieipite therein. Wor. Bro.' W. Lints. W.M., was the installing Master! and duly performed the installation ceromonv according to ancient custom, assisted by Wor, Bro. Asher, H. Potter. Broomo, If. T. .Toll, and F. C. J. Bellringer. Wor. After the Lodge'was eld'iod those present adjourned to the Brougham Street Hall, where a splendid repast, catered for bv Bro. A. Woller, was partaken of, and a pleasant hour or two spent in harmony. The usual toasts were honored, interspersed with a musical programme. Songs being rendered bv Bros. Smith Bro. Perry, and Iroome, duet by Wot:. Bro. Were, Bro. Johns, and pianola selections by Bro. L. E. Hoffmann. Bro. Golding was the accompanist.
